There are several types of kong ming fish. The most sought after is the high-fin type.

Kong Mings are good jumpers when spooked, so if you are keeping it with a fish that may attack it you definately need to have your tank well covered.

Kong Mings are good eaters of brown algae (diatom) that forms on the walls of your tank. It is perhaps the only fish can coexist with aggressive tank inhabitants and eat algae at the same time.
